Urbain Faurec's paintings in Colbert Hotel

URBAIN FAUREC arrived in Madagascar in the years 20 and stayed there about fifteen years.


He illustrated many works. The "strong waters" of URBAIN FAUREC are very required today.


Toward 1930 the Colbert hotel placed with him an order of 04 pictures, one is an old card of Madagascar, the 2nd is painted according to an engraving of 1958 representative of the bay of Antogil.


The third is inspired by a 1670 representative engraving the landing to Fort Dauphin,

Finally the fourth picture treats by the hold of Tanà by king Andrianampoinimerina in 1794.
